In fact, in a survey conducted by Deloitte, 82 percent of employees in the survey think that culture is a competitive advantage for a company.

They may walk into work every day, sit at the same cubicle, don’t interact with anyone, then do it all over again the next day. Companies with a great culture tend to be very welcoming to employees. These team members enjoy coming into work every day and they feel appreciated for their contributions.

      Company culture is important because it also helps to increase innovation. This is mostly due to the fact that the employee feels very comfortable with a welcoming company culture, which in turn gives them a sense of ownership within the organization. This sense can spark innovation because they feel like their ideas will be heard and appreciated. This type of culture can create a very positive and collaborative work environment full of happy, passionate, and driven people.

      According to BuiltIn.com, 58 percent of employees would stay at a lower-paying job if that resulted in working with a great boss. This stat shows just how important it is to have great leadership within a company. Furthermore, it helps when leaders also hold themselves up to the same standards as they do for all employees. This creates a more even playing field where all voices will be heard. When leadership is approachable, understanding, and even relatable, this creates a certain level of authenticity that employees love.

       

      Engagement

      When members of the workforce feel engaged within a company, it can do wonders for the success of the business and the level of enjoyment for the employees. However, engagement seems to be a serious problem for many businesses. In fact, according to a report from Deloitte, 87 percent of organizations say that some of the biggest challenges they face have to do with culture and engagement. So how can you improve this within your company? For starters, it’s important to listen to your employees and ask for their feedback. It also helps to engage with them on a frequent basis to check how things are going and to see if there is anything you can do to help.
